Criminal mischief

Someone dumped tomato sauce on Michael Good’s picnic table on Route 1001 north of Route 1002 between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday, state police in Indiana reported.

INDIANA

DUI

Alicia Libitzer, 23, of Hyde Park, was charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop May 30 in the 600 block of Church Street, Indiana Borough police reported.

She was arrested and later released to a sober adult, according to police.

GREEN TOWNSHIP

Burglary

State police in Indiana reported someone entered George Piper’s trailer on Route 240 between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. today, taking numerous unspecified items and damaging a safe.

CHERRYHILL TOWNSHIP

Theft

Someone stole diesel fuel from Larry Nibert’s property on Hood School Road north of Airport Road Sunday or Monday, state police in Indiana reported.

BELL TOWNSHIP, WESTMORELAND COUNTY

Fraud

Joyce Daugherty, 44, of Saltsburg, told state police in Kiski Valley that she was defrauded of $885 by a scam artist who offered her a $1,000 loan between July 1 and 6.

Police reported Daugherty received a call from a person who claimed to be a loan officer with Quickens Loan Co. in Seattle responding to her online loan application. The caller said she was approved for a $1,000 loan, and told her to send the first payment of $150 using Green Dot Money Paks.

All told, she sent $885 in fees that she was told would be returned, but the money never was returned, according to police.
