CMA beat Bethel Presbyterian, 11-4, to earn a spot in the Indiana County Church League softball championship series.
CMA opens the best-of-three series this evening against Divine Destiny.
Brian Adair led CMA with four hits, and Dave Raymond and Steve Timko chipped in three apiece. Eric Hilliard, Ken Brennan, Kirk Weaver and Josh Castle each had two hits. Raymond and Weaver each hit a home run.
Ray Nyland was the winning pitcher.
John Steigert and Chris Hibbs each hit a home run for Bethel Presbyterian, and Dave Orr had three hits.
Kinkead to play for IABB title
Kinkead Aggregates beat Italian Village Pizza, 11-3, on Saturday to advance to the Indiana Area Baseball Booster championship series.
Mitch Peffer pitched a complete game, striking out four and walking one, and Mike Drew, Bobby Hopkins and Steve Crate hit home runs.
Drew hit a two-run homer and single, and Hopkins and Crate smacked solo shots.
Mark Donahue and Steve Palinski hit solo homers for Italian Village.
Kinkead will play Fast Times Screen Printing in the best-of-three championship series.
