UNDATED (AP) — Less than two weeks after winning the Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks, Viktor Stalberg signed a four-year, $12 million contract with Nashville.

The Predators hope the 27-year-old forward boosts an offense that scored 2.27 goals per game this past season to match the Florida Panthers for the lowest average in the NHL.

• NEW YORK (AP) — The Rangers agreed to terms with restricted free-agent defenseman Ryan McDonagh on a six-year, $28.2 million contract.

The new deal will carry an annual salary-cap hit of $4.7 million for New York, which is close to the financial ceiling with players still left to re-sign, such as forwards Derek Stepan and Carl Hagelin.uirfield.
