Lorraine Yerger scored four goals to power Indiana to a 4-2 win over Ligonier Valley in a non-conference girls’ soccer match Saturday at Andy Kuzneski Field.

Tori Garzarelli, Sumer Chappell, Noel Hartle and Helaina Hoinoski each chipped in an assist, and Hannah Schwartz played in goal.

IJHS team scores win

ALVERTON — Indiana blanked Southmoreland, 1-0, in a seventh- and eighth-grade girls’ soccer match Monday.

Fiona Murphy scored Indiana’s lone goal in the first half. Ella Spadafora made eight saves in goal, and defenders Grace Mullen, Sidney Turner, Lauren McKelvy and Halle Angelo each contributed to the shutout.

In a match played Wednesday, host Mount Pleasant edged Indiana, 5-4.

Turner led Indiana with two goals. Murphy and Brooke Ianarelli each added a goal, and Mia Spadafora tacked on three assists.

Indiana (2-1) plays host to East Allegheny on Wednesday.
