SOMERSET (AP) — “We Were Quiet Once,” a locally made documentary about the crash of United Flight 93 on Sept. 11, 2001, is a finalist at the Moondance International Film Festival, the Somerset Daily American reported Monday.
The festival is scheduled for Sept. 26 to 29 in Mystic, Conn.
Laura Beachy, 23, of Somerset, made the film, and it features three area residents: the Rev. Alphonse Masherino, who opened the Flight 93 Chapel; Terry Butler, one of the only eyewitnesses to the crash; and Rick Flick, a first responder at the scene.
Beachy started the film for a class project, but is now seeking broader distribution.
