JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Bobcats, Colts breeze to victories

BLAIRSVILLE — Three players scored in double figures to lead Blairsville to a 42-19 victory over Ligonier Valley in a ninth-grade girls’ basketball game Tuesday.

Rena Enterline scored 21 points, and Catherine Martin and Faith Yanoff chipped in 10 apiece for the Bobcats (9-1).

Blairsville won the seventh- and eighth-grade game, 16-13. MacKenzie Misleany scored eight points.

 

NORTHERN CAMBRIA ROLLS OVER WILDCATS: Lexi Newhouse fired in 21 points to lead Homer-Center past Northern Cambria, 54-11.

Emily Worcester chipped in nine points, and Madison Valyo scored eight for the Wildcats, who are 10-1 overall and remained unbeaten in Heritage Conference play at 8-0.

Homer-Center won the seventh- and eighth-grade game, 19-18.
