Theft

A laptop computer was stolen from an Indiana Area Senior High School classroom sometime during the summer break, according to state police in Indiana. Anyone with any information has been asked to call police at (724) 357-1960.

 

WHITE TOWNSHIP

Simple assault

Nicole Windows, 24, of Aultman, and Travon Girtley, 25, of Indiana, were charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct following an altercation between the two on Friday at Westgate Apartments, according to state police in Indiana. Both were placed in the Indiana County Jail, police said.

 

EAST WHEATFIELD TOWNSHIP

Theft

An undetermined amount of gasoline was siphoned from vehicles belonging to Melinda Ault, 59; Ryan Barber, 32; and Jamie Ault, 28, according to state police in Indiana. Police said the incidents occurred between 12:30 and 1 a.m. Saturday as the vehicles were parked along East Philadelphia Street.

 

ARMSTRONG COUNTY

Theft

A tarp on a flatbed trailer was stolen sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 5:11 p.m. Saturday while the trailer was parked in a lot off Route 156, according to state police in Indiana. Police said the tarp belongs to David Crane, 35, of Shelocta.

 

NORTH MAHONING TOWNSHIP

Animal cruelty

Someone deliberately let two dogs out of a fenced area on Sept. 13 in the hopes that they would run off, according to state police in Punxsutawney.

One of the dogs, Cherokee, was found on Sept. 16 along Mt. Tabor Road, near Blairsville, police said. It had a large wound on its neck. The other dog, a male miniature pinscher, Duke, has not been found.
