NEW KENSINGTON — David Zimmerman scored in double overtime to lift Indiana to a 4-3 come-from-behind win over Valley in a WPIAL Section 1-AA boys’ soccer match Tuesday.

Zimmerman took a feed from Cole Rosenberger and beat Valley’s goalkeeper with four minutes to play in the second overtime period to end the match.

Rosenberger scored a goal on a penalty kick in the first half, but the Indians still trailed 3-1 entering the second half.

Rosenberger then netted a goal off a Peter Short assist in the second half to trim Valley’s lead to 3-2. Zimmerman scored an unassisted goal later in the half to tie the match, 3-3.

“We made adjustments in second half and changed formation a bit and we were able to create more opportunities for ourselves,” Indiana coach Todd Myers said.

Indiana (11-3, 6-3 section) plays host to East Allegheny on Thursday.
