JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Bobcats trounce Comets, improve to 11-1

Host Blairsville improved to 11-1 by defeating Penns Manor, 43-25, in a ninth-grade girls’ basketball game Tuesday.

Rena Enterline scored a game-high 21 points to lead Blairsville. Catherine Martin added 11 points for the Bobcats.

Autumn Fennell scored 11 points to pace Penns Manor.

Blairsville won the seventh- and eighth-grade game, 21-14.

Blairsville plays host to Saltsburg on Monday. Penns Manor welcomes Purchase Line on Thursday.

 

PURCHASE LINE 40, MARION CENTER 35: Megan Faught scored a game-high 23 points to lead host Purchase Line to a win over Marion Center.

Marion Center won the seventh- and eighth-grade game, 19-9.

Purchase Line (4-9) travels to Penns Manor on Thursday.

 

HOMER-CENTER 47, LIGONIER VALLEY 9: Homer-Center’s Emily Worcester led all scorers with 15 points, and the Wildcats rolled over visiting Ligonier Valley.

Lexi Newhouse added 11 points for Homer-Center.

Ligonier Valley won the seventh- and eighth-grade game, 23-16.

Homer-Center (11-1, 9-0 conference) travels to Marion Center on Thursday.
