Ruth Fee Nicely will soon be celebrating her 100th birthday.

She was born in Barnesboro on Nov. 1, 1913, and attended high school there before enrolling at Indiana State Teachers College (now Indiana University of Pennsylvania).

She graduated in 1935 with the interesting distinction of being the first and only woman to be May Queen and president of the senior class in the same year.

Ruth later taught elementary school in Spangler and then in Indiana, where she spent most of her life.

She is a longtime member of the Graystone Presbyterian Church and the Indiana Country Club.

Ruth is living at the Presbyterian Home in suburban Chicago and enjoying life to the fullest. She would love to hear from her friends and family at: Presbyterian Home, 3200 Grant St., Evanston, IL 60201.
