Notes — Unlike their cross-state rivals, the Penguins are off to a hot start. They’ve won two in a row and five of their first six games, taking the lead in the newly-formed Metropolitan Division. Sidney Crosby leads the league in scoring and is tied for third in goals and assists. In his ninth season, his 28 goals against the Flyers are the most he’s had against any team. ... Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury is 5-0 with a .926 save percentage. He is tied for second in the league in wins and his one shutout matches the league high. ...

The Penguins recalled winger Harry Zolnierczyk before Tuesday’s game against Edmonton. Zolnierczyk posted three goals and seven points in 44 games over the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons with the Flyers. ... Winger Beau Bennett is out with a lower body injury. Forwards James Neal and Matt D’Agostini, defenseman Kris Letang and goalie Tomas Vokoun are on injured reserve.

About the Flyers — Philadelphia has lost three straight, most recently falling to Vancouver, 3-2, at home on Tuesday. Tye McGinn scored both Flyers goals, his second and third of the season. Steve Mason stopped 22 of 25 shots. ... Center Claude Giroux, the team’s scoring leader last season, has no goals and two assists this season. ... Mason is 1-4 despite a .926 save percentage. Ray Emery is 0-2 with an .873 save percentage. ... Forwards Scott Hartnell and Vincent Lecavalier are on injured reserve. Hartnell (upper body) is expected to miss two-to-four weeks, and Lecavalier (lower body), signed this past offseason after 14 seasons with Tampa Bay, is expected to be out a week.
