WEDDING: Suzi Thomchick and Jason Shotter

Suzi Thomchick, of Finleyville, daughter of Debbie and Jerry Thomchick, of Indiana, and Jason Shotter, of Finleyville, son of Diane and Andy Shotter, of Carmichaels, were united in marriage May 4 at the National Aviary in Pittsburgh.

The Rev. Mark DeNunzzio officiated the ceremony. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a lace Allure gown.

The matron of honor was Stephanie Waggett, of Carmichaels, sister of the groom.

The maid of honor was Dana Murslack, of Pittsburgh, cousin of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Allison Murslack, of Pittsburgh, cousin of the bride; Kristen Murslack, of Pittsburgh, cousin of the bride; and Amy Saly, of Pittsburgh.

The junior bridesmaid was Emily Murslack, of Pittsburgh, cousin of the bride, and the flower girl was Katie Waggett, of Carmichaels, niece of the groom.

The best man was Ken Walzer, of Pittsburgh.

Groomsmen were Mark Thomchick, of Johnstown, brother of the bride; Andy Thomchick, of Indiana, brother of the bride; Jeff Waggett, of Carmichaels, brother-in-law of the groom; and J.J. Thomchick, of Boston, cousin of the bride.

The ring bearer was A.J. Waggett, of Carmichaels, nephew of the groom.

The bride graduated from La Roche College in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in interior design.

The groom graduated from California University of Pennsylvania in 1998 with a Bachelor in Arts degree. The groom is employed at UPMC.

The reception was held at the National Aviary. The couple went to the beach for their honeymoon.
