Cherryhill Township

Criminal mischief

Between 9 p.m. Friday and 4:45 a.m. Saturday, someone damaged a Wild Game Innovations trail camera belonging to Robert Helman, of Indiana. State police at Indiana estimated damage to the camera at $80.

Conemaugh Township

Theft

Peter Cindric, of Saltsburg, told state police at Indiana that someone stole a starter and a rear window from two old Ford pickup trucks on his property. Two pull chains are also missing. Police said the items were stolen between Oct. 18 and Friday.

White Township

Theft

Ronald Carnahan, of Homer City, told state police at Indiana that he used his ATM debit card to purchase items at the Indiana Walmart on Oct. 12. He left his card or lost it in the store, and when he went to his bank to cancel it he discovered two unauthorized purchases totaling $653.30 had already been made with the card.

Alcohol violations

Indiana University of Pennsylvania police were called at 1:14 a.m. Oct. 20 to a report of an intoxicated female passed out on the floor of the lobby in Northern Suites.

Campus police said Jenna Sechrist, 18, of Mechanicsburg, was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center and then cited for underage drinking and public drunkenness.

IUP police arrested Dorian Brown, 19, of Pittsburgh, who is not an IUP student, at 11:45 p.m. Oct. 18 after he was found in a highly intoxicated condition in the third floor lobby of the Suites on Pratt. Brown was charged with underage drinking and public drunkenness.

Megan Tierney, 18, of Millvale, was found in a highly intoxicated state at 11:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the rear of Stephenson Hall. IUP police said Tierney was charged with underage drinking and public drunkenness and was then released to a sober adult.

Campus police observed Cynthia Dewar-Rogo, 18, of Media, highly intoxicated inside the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex at 11:05 p.m. Oct. 18.

She was taken to IRMC and then was cited for underage drinking and public drunkenness.

IUP police were dispatched at 10:24 p.m. Oct. 18 to the KCAC dock for a report of an intoxicated male who had passed out.

Police found Chad Friday, 18, of Gibsonia, and took him to IRMC. Friday was charged with underage drinking and public drunkenness.

 

Drug violations

IUP police charged Jacob Whiteford, 19, of Bel Air, Md., and Alexander Arustamian, 18, of Marlboro, N.J., with possession of drug paraphernalia after police encountered the pair at 3:51 a.m. Oct. 20 in the parking garage at 1149 Oakland Ave.

Police said Whiteford and Arustamian are not IUP students.

Campus police charged Alexandra Carradorini, 19, of Willow Grove, and Sarah Heinrich, 19, of Bethlehem, with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage drinking.

Police encountered the pair at 11:36 p.m. Oct. 19 in the Suites on Pratt.

 

Disorderly conduct

Indiana police cited a disorderly student at the Adelphoi Village Academy, 220 N. Fifth St., with disorderly conduct and harassment at 12:49 p.m. Friday.

Police said the student, who was not identified, threatened to slap a teacher.

Rayne Township

Criminal mischief

Wanda Gaston, of 1887 Barr Slope Road, told state police at Indiana someone poured cooking grease on her vehicle while it was parked outside her residence.

Police said the criminal mischief happened Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
