Marion Center Lions install new officers

MARION CENTER — Mariann McKee, District 14-J governor, Lions International, installed officers at a recent meeting of the Marion Center Lions Club.

Officers are William Ward, president; Mike Yackuboskey, first vice president; John Como, second vice president; Larry Johnson, secretary; Dick Oberlin, treasurer; Doug Oberlin, lion tamer; George Kerstetter, tail twister; Don Ruffner, membership chairman; and board members Ron Stewart, Tom Spring and Ken Ackerson.

McKee was accompanied by Jim Gutskey, Zone 2 chairman; Rebecca Leeper, cabinet treasurer; and Glenn Brant, past district governor.

The local club scheduled its Christmas party for Dec. 12 and approved holding a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. on March 15 to raise money for community service projects.

New members are welcome. The club’s next meeting is 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14 in the park building across Route 403 from Marion Center Area High School.
