The Western Pennsylvania District held its 147th annual district conference at Camp Harmony, Hooversville, on Oct. 19. Erin Kimmel, of Shelocta, and Eric Fether, of Ligonier, were called to three-year terms on the District Leadership Team.
Moderator Timothy E. Resh, of Somerset, challenged the 205 participants with the theme “Feed My Sheep.” Homer A. Foster, of Kittanning, was installed as Moderate Designate. Nancy Gindlesperger was called to a three-year term as district clerk. Wes Berkebile, of Kittanning, was called to a three-year term as delegate to the denomination’s annual Conference Standing Committee. The district is comprised of 67 churches and one fellowship with a membership of more than 8,000.
The event included a presentation on the current financial situation, worship and music.
