The Homer-Center School District has rescheduled a performance of the annual high school musical to avoid a conflict with the football team’s appearance in the District 6 championship playoff game.
Originally scheduled for Saturday evening — the same time the Wildcats will compete for their first district title since 1994 — the second performance of the musical has been bumped to the next day.
“A Musical Christmas Carol” will be staged at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Sunday in J.S. Byers Auditorium at Homer-Center High School.
Tickets are $8 for reserved seats and $5 for general admission, and may be purchased between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day this week at the high school office or at the door before each performance.
Tickets for the football game also are available at the district office at $6 for adults and $3 for students. All tickets at the gate are $6.
Homer-Center will play Bishop Guilfoyle at 7 p.m. Saturday at Mansion Park in Altoona.
