GLEN CAMPBELL — The historic First Baptist Church of Glen Campbell will celebrate Christ the King Sunday with their annual Friends and Family Harvest Home Festival, beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday at the church.

Bagpiper Brian Wilkins will be playing outside the church doors before the formal program. The church will celebrate its 111th anniversary.

The festival will also mark the completion of exactly 41 years as pastor by the Rev. Dr. Allan N. Campbell.

The service features organist Dr. Christine Clewell, IUP Music Department organist, playing selections from the J.S. Bach era. The church music director, Mitchell Jerko, will play for and direct the church’s choir. Pastor Campbell will preach from the lectionary lessons for the day with his sermon: “Christ Rules Over All!” The theme of this year’s festival is: “A Rich History and a Promising Future.”

After the service everyone is invited to a free banquet in the Fellowship Hall with a selection of homemade food. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. For more information, call (724) 463-0018.
