Possession of marijuana

The Indiana University of Pennsylvania police reported that Alexander James Galantuomo, 19, of Reading, Berks County, was arrested at 4:46 p.m. Thursday at the Suites on Pratt following a narcotics investigation.

Police said that Galantuomo was charged after being found in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

 

Public drunkenness

Eric Colby Scull, 19, of DuBois, Clearfield County, was arrested after being found in a highly intoxicated state at 2:14 a.m. Friday on Garman Avenue, IUP police said.

According to police, after being taken to the IUP police station, Scull threatened officers and attempted to kick and head-butt officers.

He was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment, then to the Indiana County Jail for arraignment, police said. Charges have been filed with District Judge Guy Haberl in Indiana, police said.

Criminal mischief

Someone cut three tires on a 1997 BMW belonging to Bradley Hitchock, of Indiana, sometime between Jan. 24 and Sunday, state police at Indiana reported.

No additional information was provided.

 

Retail theft

Someone attempted to take $266.70 worth of merchandise on Thursday from Giant Eagle, state police at Indiana reported. Charges are pending, according to police.

No additional information was provided.

 

Trespass

State police at Indiana reported that a snare trap was found sometime in January on Indiana County Airport property. There is no permission to trap on that property, police said.

ERNEST

Burglary/theft

An unknown person stole jewelry belonging to Susan Bash around Jan. 8 at her Fourth Street residence, state police at Indiana said.
