Indoor archery league posts weekly winners

CLYMER — Colin Krevel and Kristie Goss topped the individual shooters, and Body Shots took the team honors for a second straight time in the sixth week of competition in the RC Indoor Archery Winter League.

Krevel recorded a 241 to top the men’s shooters, and Goss shot a 227 to top the women’s ranks.

The Body Shots team of Rob Buterbaugh, Brad Buterbaugh, Jerod Nichol and Jeff Gromley recorded a 1,053.4.

In the overall standings, Jared Mason leads the way with a 1,425. He is followed by Ken Misko at 1,416 and Scott Douglas at 1,399.

In the team standings, Body Shots is first at 6,307.2. The Arrows-A-Blazin team of Jared Mason, Megan McCunn, Jason Thacker and Brian Thacker is second at 6.3008, and the Death By Lethal Injection team of Ken Misko, Ryan Hickok, Greg Buterbaugh and Ray Hickok is third at 6,293.7.

RC Indoor Archery is located at 675 Sherman St., Clymer.

Hunter-trapper classes scheduled

SHELOCTA — A hunter-trapper education class will be held at the Shelocta Sportsmen’s Club from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Prior to attending a class, participants must complete the online independent study.

Registration and the online study are available at www.state. pa.us.

The class is limited to 50 participants, and they must be 11 or older.

• MARION CENTER — A class will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at Marion Center Park Hall.

The class is limited to 45 participants, and they must be 11 or older.

Rabies clinic to be held in Armagh

ARMAGH — A rabies clinic administered by Frazier Veterinary will be held Saturday, March 15, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Armagh and East Wheatfield Fire Hall truck bay.

The cost is $12 per shot.

Indiana County dog licenses will be available.

Turkey shoots on tap at East Run club

MARION CENTER — The East Run Sportsman’s Club will hold turkey shoots on four Sundays: March 23, March 30, April 6 and April 27.

Registration begins at noon, and the shoots begin at 12:20 p.m.

KSTU to host angler for program at Elks

Eric Stroup, a noted fly-fisherman, fly-tier, guide, wirter and author, will present “Nymph Fishing Techniques and Tactics” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at the Indiana Elks.

The program, presetned by the Ken Sink Chapter of Trout Unlimited, is free and open to the public.
