Ross Bricklemyer and Phil Turk bagged elks while hunting with Ross’s father, Ross, in Northern Arizona in November.
They waited four years to obtain permits in the state’s annual elk lottery, and went on the hunt without a guide.
Turk got his elk first, and Bricklemyer got his two days later, though the area in which they shot the animals was only 200 yards apart.
The Bricklemyers spent the last two days of the hunt trying to find an elk for the father, with no luck. (Submitted photos)
