Cribbs, Clowser garner Ding-A-Lings monthly awards

NuMINE — Tristan Cribbs, a senior at West Shamokin High School, has been named the Ding-A-Lings Sports Club’s scholar-athlete for the month of February.

Cribbs participates in volleyball, softball, basketball and cross country for West Shamokin.

The daughter of David and Andrea Cribbs, of Rural Valley, Tristan is a student ambassador and a member of the National Honor Society, the student council and the Leo Club.

Cribbs plans to attend St. Francis or Gannon to study physician assistant sciences.

• NuMINE — Zane Clowser, a senior at West Shamokin High School, was named the Ding-A-Lings Sports Club’s scholar-athlete for the month of January.

Clowser participates in soccer, baseball and basketball for the Wolves.

The son of Mark and Cassie Clowser, of Dayton, Zane, who was a member of both the prom court and homecoming court, is also a member of the National Honor Society and Students Against Drunk Driving.

Clowser plans to attend Pitt Johnstown to study electrical engineering.
