BLAIRSVILLE: Two vocalists take part in Regional Chorus

BLAIRSVILLE — Two Blairsville High School chorus members performed at Regional Chorus after advancing from District Chorus. Juniors Rebecca Bell and Ashlee Steiner competed against 188 other students from Districts 2 and 3.

Steiner earned sixth chair and Bell earned 10th chair at districts.

Both earned 12th chair honors at Regional Chorus.

Bell and Steiner traveled to Girard High School in Erie to compete at Regionals.

They both stayed for four days and learned nine songs, one of which was a solo by Steiner.

“I was proud of myself and felt honored because I not only got a solo at Districts, but also in Regionals. It was nice to know the judges liked my voice,” Steiner said.

Bell was more than happy for her friend and felt honored to even be picked for Regionals.

“I thought it was a great learning experience and I enjoyed making new friends and getting to perform with very good musicians., she said.
