Evan Tunink, a 2010 graduate of Indiana Area Senior High School, was named to the President’s List for the fall semester at West Virginia University, Morgantown, W.Va.
Tunink, a management information systems major with a minor in communication studies, maintained a 4.0 grade-point average. He is scheduled to graduate in the spring. After graduation, he will be working in Washington, D.C., with Deloitte Consulting LLP, where he had an internship last summer as a business technology analyst.
Tunink is the son of Jeanette Kathol and Steve Tunink.
John Lowman, of Indiana, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of Delaware, Newark, Del.
Olivia Ciocca, of Indiana, is a member of the women’s club lacrosse team at Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio.
Ciocca is majoring in business management and is a 2010 graduate of Indiana Area Senior High School.
Haley Stapleton, of Indiana, was recognized as a dean’s list student for the fall semester in the College of Natural Sciences at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colo.
Stapleton is studying biological science.
Audrey Stapleton, of Indiana, was recognized as a dean’s list student for the fall semester at East Stroudsburg University, East Stroudsburg.
Stapleton, a freshman, has not yet declared a major.
Courtney Kuzemchak, of Clymer, was named to the fall dean’s list at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va.
She is a freshman majoring in historic preservation and a 2013 graduate of Penns Manor Area High School.
Kuzemchak is the daughter of Ted and Nancy Kuzemchak and the granddaughter of George Kuzemchak, all of Clymer.
Emily Lauber, of Indiana, received academic honors from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University at Tempe, Ariz., by being named to the dean’s list for the fall semester.
Samantha Freed, of Marion Center, has been granted the Veronica Founder’s Scholarship to study nursing at Alvernia University in Reading.
Freed is a senior at Marion Center Area High School.
The $12,000 Veronica Founder’s Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship awarded on a competitive basis. Recipients must have a minimum of a 980 SAT (or 21 ACT) and 3.0 GPA.
Grove City College dean’s list
The following area residents were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Grove City College:
• Avonmore: Mark Schrecengost, a senior mathematics major from Avonmore, was named to the dean’s list with high distinction. Schrecengost is a 2010 graduate of Apollo-Ridge High School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Schrecengost (Regina).
• Indiana: Claire Boykiw, a junior sociology major from Indiana, was named to the dean’s list with distinction. Boykiw is a 2011 graduate of Indiana Area Senior High School and is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Mark Boykiw (Sharon)
• Gideon Ludwig, a senior computer science major from Indiana, was named to the dean’s list with distinction. Ludwig is a 2010 graduate of Indiana Area Senior High School and is the son of Mary Ludwig.
University of Akron dean’s list
Casey Lauber, of Indiana, and Alexandra Rhodes, of Shelocta, were recently named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of Akron, Akron, Ohio.
