Some upcoming chamber-affiliated events are scheduled for the next few weeks:
Affordable Care Act Seminar
An update on the Affordable Care Act will be held Monday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex.
The event is designed to keep people informed and prepared for ongoing changes to the health care law.
Registration and breakfast will begin at 7:30.
Panelists are Stephanie Smith-Cooney, Gatti Pharmacy; Jim Kineer, Indiana Regional Medical Center; Chuck Whitford, JRG Advisors; and Carl Knoblock, Small Business Association.
The moderator will be Joe Reschini of The Reschini Group.
Chamber of commerce members are invited to a Chamber Check-in at the chamber office, 1019 Philadelphia St., from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Stop in for coffee, doughnuts and conversation. The Membership Committee will be on hand for a meet and greet.
Business After Hours
A Business After Hours networking event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Boomies Bistro, 647 Philadelphia St., in Indiana.
Enjoy free food samplings, a selection of microbrews and entertainment. Response requested by Wednesday.
A Secrets to Succession planning seminar is set for April 29 at 7:30 a.m. at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex.
A hot breakfast will be served at 7:30, followed by a presentation by William Lestitian, an attorney for Rothman Gordon, a Pittsburgh law firm, at 8.
An audience question-and-answer session will begin at 8:30 with panelists Lestitian, Wally Putt of Putt Real Estate and Chuck Spadafora, Colonial Motor Mart.
The cost is $20 per person.
