HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Sixteen from area to play in Lantzy game

JOHNSTOWN — Sixteen football players from the nine Heritage Conference schools will participate in the 44th annual Ken Lantzy Finest 40 All-Star Game.

The North versus South game is scheduled to be played at 7 p.m. Friday, June 20, at Johnstown High School’s Trojan Stadium.

The rosters are made up of graduated seniors from high schools in Districts 5 and 6.

The North roster includes: Blairsville’s Luke Ratkus; Homer-Center’s Cody Miller, Mike Newhouse, Luke Monko and Shawn Steffee; Marion Center’s Jon Baker; Northern Cambria’s Nolan Paronish and Joey Frontino; Penns Manor’s John Stupic, Stephen Dumm and Luke Ruddock; and Purchase Line’s Gavin Ewing.

The South roster includes: Ligonier Valley’s Scott Fennell and Nick Boring; Saltsburg’s Steve Richards; and United’s Seth McLendon.
