Notable — The Nittany Lions welome the Illini for their first of three November home games. Penn State suffered its worst loss in 114 years in a 63-14 defeat to Ohio State last week. Allen Robinson was the bright spot with 12 receptions for 173 yards. Illinois lost 42-3 to Michigan State. … The two teams have played against each other in every season since 2005. … Penn State and Illinois have averaged and allowed similar yardage on offense and defense. … Both starting quarterbacks, Penn State’s Christian Hackenberg and Illinois’ Nathan Sheelhaase have passed for more than 1,600 yards. … Ten Illinois players have carried the ball this season. … Penn State is 31-7 all-time against teams from the state of Illinois.
