Indiana wins hockey game

MOUNT LEBANON — Indiana scored 10 goals for the second straight game to open the season and beat Keystone Oaks, 10-1, in a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League Open Division game Monday at the Mount Lebanon Recreation Center.

Jess Bartholow scored a hat trick and totaled five points for Indiana, and Dominick Glavach also scored a hat trick.

Thomas Petro scored two goals, and Ethan Boyer and Joel Santoro scored one each.

Boyer, Matthew Swats-worth and Camden Lydick chalked up assists.

Zane McElheney made 17 saves in goal.

Indiana (2-0-0) plays host to Altoona on Nov. 14.

• GREENSBURG — Indiana defeated Greensburg Central Catholic, 8-4, in a middle school hockey game Monday at Kirk Nevin Arena.

Scoring for Indiana was Tyler Barker with 5 goals and 3 assists, Luke Wachob-2 goals, and Brandon Boyer-1 goal. Gunner Sharp-3 assists, and Tanner Russella and Aaron Burkhart-1 assist each.

Goalie Madison Barker made 20 saves on 24 shots.

Indiana has a record of 2-0, and faces Hempfield next Thursday, Nov 14 at S&T Bank Arena.

Lacrosse club meets Wednesday

The Indiana Area Lacrosse Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the LGI Room at the junior high school.

 All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
