More than 1,500 customers in the Indiana area are without power. The cause of the outage is pending investigation.

Weather could be to blame for the outage. A flash flood watch is in effect for the area until midnight Monday, the National Weather Service reports.

Power is expected to be restored around 4:30 p.m., according to Penelec's website.

Some residents in Homer City were also without power,  the site said.
