Erie arena ready for unveiling
ERIE, Pa. (AP) — After nearly two years of construction, Erie Insurance Arena will be unveiled this coming week.
The Erie Times-News reported that the $47 million renovation at the downtown entertainment and sports venue is finished.
The venue was once known as the Tullio Arena, which was originally built in the early 1980s on a $9.3 million budget.
Tom Combs of NAC Enterprises, which brings the Broadway Theater Series and other shows to Erie, says he expects the improvements to have a significant regional impact on sports and entertainment.
