Roadster fetches $700,000

HERSHEY (AP) — A 1933 roadster has fetched more than $700,000 at a classic-car auction held in Hershey.

The Chrysler CL Imperial Convertible Roadster was one of only nine built, and one of only six that are still around, according to the auctioneer, RM Auctions. The restored, tan-colored beauty sold for $704,000, the top sale of a two-day auction that featured 115 cars, a boat and memorabilia.

The auction at Hershey Lodge featuring classic cars and trucks from all eras, ranging from a 1903 Stevens-Duryea Model L Stanhope to the boatlike 1977 Lincoln Continental.
