CLYMER — A week ago, a very special event occurred at a Calvary Baptist Academy basketball game.

Last Friday, at the basketball game against the Centre County Bulldogs, Tyler Chambers scored his 1,000th career point.

Chambers is a senior at Calvary and has been playing basketball since sixth grade. Chambers is one of only a handful of students at the academy that have scored their 1,000th point.

After making the basket, the game was stopped, and Chambers was presented with the game ball and with balloons and gift baskets filled with some of Chambers’ favorite snacks. This evening was very special for Chambers as well as everyone who was in attendance that evening.

Congratulations to Chambers on his great achievement.
