HARMONY: Christmas events held at school

WESTOVER -- The annual Christmas craft show to benefit the Harmony Music Boosters was held Dec. 1.

There were many vendors selling a variety of crafts including scarves, lamps, Christmas ornaments and other homemade items.

Kids could visit Santa from 10 a.m. to noon, and anyone could enjoy soup and choose from several tasty kinds of baked goods. All of the proceeds went to the music boosters, who help pay for trips for the music students, musical productions and other important items for the music program.

Without fundraisers like these the music program would not be possible. Thank you to all who supported the program on Saturday.

The elementary will host their annual Santa's Workshop this week. Students will get to choose gifts to buy for their family members. Because the construction is still going on, Santa's Workshop will be held in the music room. Also due to construction, the basketball games have had to be rescheduled. There will be no home basketball games during the month of December.

The chorus performed two songs they are singing for the Christmas concert during the school board meeting on Dec. 3: "Do You Hear What I Hear?" and "Blessings of the Season."

The school board enjoyed a break from the meeting to listen to some Christmas cheer.
