The husband-and-wife team of Clark and Connie Bruner, of Blairsville, were recently named the winners of the 2023 Outstanding 4-H Swine Leader Award for Pennsylvania, which is sponsored by the Pa Pork Producers. The award is based on club development, innovative county programming, show and contest involvement and community service. The Bruners have been leaders with the Gordon 4-H Club for more than 30 years. The club is known for quality education, active programs and excellent county, state and national 4-H involvement. Ninety percent of the members are involved with swine project work. The Bruners also are shooting sports volunteers. They are pictured with Ben Williamson, left, Penn State Animal Science Instructor.
