The Blairsville Public Library has upcoming activities for the community.

Story Time is now live and in person on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Registration is not needed, but is preferred so that supplies are available for all. Call (724) 459-6077 for registration.

The library will be participating in “Remake Learning Days Across Pennsylvania,” a festival to celebrate learning opportunities. STEM materials have been supplied through Library Services and Technology Act through Pennsylvania’s Out-of-School Time project.

The purpose of this program is to reach those in the community that have limited internet access or home devices. Adults will be available to guide youth and their caregivers in low-tech projects the week of May 12 to 23. Specific programming will be available closer to the dates.

The library’s adult book club meets the second Wednesday of every month in the evening. Call the library for time and what book to read for the month.

The computers are still available for use, and the library is happy to extend their services to now include newspapers and magazines. Grab ’N Go services are still available if needed. The library has a wide range of audio books for those who prefer to listen to stories being read, with new titles being added every month.

The Youth department has extended its services to include manga.

The library’s catalog online will tell you which graphic novels are available.

The library is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The library is closed Sundays and Mondays.
