A Clymer woman escaped injury after hitting a deer on Route 422 Thursday at 9 a.m.

State police at Indiana said Judy Bailey, 47, was traveling west in her 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee when she struck the deer, causing disabling damage to her vehicle.

BURRELL TOWNSHIP

Two men suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday at 7:38 p.m.

State police at Indiana reported that a 2018 Ford Escape driven by Lewis Hill, 74, of Blairsville, was traveling south on Route 119 when it struck a disabled vehicle from a previous crash.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage.

Trooper Brandon Smith said Hill and a passenger, James Alexander, 74, of Black Lick, both were treated for minor injuries.

Both men were wearing seat belts, Smith said.

Lauren Miller, 18, of Indiana, was not injured after hitting a deer on Route 119 Wednesday at 7:25 p.m.

According to state police at Indiana, Miller was going south when a deer jumped a barrier and struck her 2010 Nissan Altima, causing severe damage.

CHERRYHILL TOWNSHIP

State police at Indiana reported that a 2011 Toyota Avalon operated by Robert Toy, 82, of Kittanning, and two passengers were not injured when Toy struck a deer on Route 422 Monday at approximately 5:22 p.m.

Toy’s vehicle sustained disabling damage.

Trooper Tyler Prisk identified the two passengers in Toy’s vehicle as Lee Young, 72, and Dixie Toy, 82, both of Kittanning.
