An Armstrong County man was seriously injured at 5:28 p.m. Wednesday in a collision in Iselin, state police reported this morning.
Alan Klingensmith, 26, of West Leechburg, was flown by LifeSTAT helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment.
According to reports, Klingensmith drove a westbound Federal Express box truck and turned left from Red Street onto Iselin Road where it was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Timothy Coleman, of Avonmore.
Police believe Klingensmith failed to use a seat belt and was ejected through the passenger side window.
Investigators said the Silverado veered off the road, hit a parked and unoccupied Dodge Ram 1500 truck and struck a nearby house. A skid steer machine being towed by the pickup came free from a trailer and came to rest against the Ram truck.
Coleman, 55, was not reported to be injured.
Troopers didn’t identify the property owner or describe any damage to the house.
