Salem Township, Westmoreland County

State police reported that a Polaris Magnum 325 all-terrain vehicle driven by a 12-year-old girl from Greensburg cut in front of a southbound Ford Focus driven by Cynthia Young, of Blairsville, at 3:04 p.m. May 19 on Route 819.

Troopers reported that the youngster was thrown from the ATV and suffered a minor injury.

Derry Township, Westmoreland County

Florence Pluta, 86, of Latrobe, told state police that she fell asleep while driving at 3:30 p.m. May 20 on Route 30 near Route 217. According to a report, a Honda Accord that Pluta drove hit an embankment along the edge of the highway.

State police reported that a Toyota Rav 4 driven by Patricia Eaglehouse, of Latrobe, and a Ford Focus driven by Jamie Frayvolt, of Derry, collided at 9:33 a.m. May 16 on Industrial Boulevard at Pandora Road.

Frayvolt, 36, was treated at the scene by Mutual Aid Ambulance paramedics for a minor injury.

Stephen Legath, of Pittsburgh, was unhurt when the Chevrolet Cruze he was driving hit a deer at 6:40 p.m. Sunday on Route 22 at Westinghouse Road, according to state police.
