An allegation that a downtown Indiana tavern worker stole money from the business was thrown out at a district court level hearing last week.
Indiana District Judge Guy Haberl dismissed a single misdemeanor count of theft that had been filed last month by Indiana Borough police against Jordan Brown, of Medlar Drive, White Township.
A security camera had captured images of Brown, a security employee, taking money at 11:03 p.m. June 20 from two cash register drawers in the basement of Boomerangs Bar & Grille, 547 Philadelphia St., borough investigators reported.
In a criminal complaint, police set the loss at $354.
Brown, 23, retained attorney Robert Muir to represent him at his court appearance Thursday.
