Ice cream social
ROCHESTER MILLS — The Rochester Mills Presbyterian Church invites the public to its annual ice cream social from 6 to 8 p.m. today to celebrate the second anniversary of its Little Free Pantry.
Storyteller Jane Murphy, of Punxsutawney, will provide entertainment.
A concert by the local gospel quartet Heritage will take place at 7 p.m. today at Grove Chapel Lutheran Church, 2539 Grove Chapel Road, Rayne Township.
Everyone is invited and welcome to attend.

Fifth Sunday of Pentecost
GLEN CAMPBELL — The Historic First Episcopal Baptist Church of Glen Campbell will gather for sacred worship and the sacrament of Holy Communion on the Fifth Sunday after Pentecost.
The morning starts at 10 a.m. with preludes and the rousing processional hymn, “God of our Fathers, Whose Almighty Hand,” a national tune which calls the congregation to sing with bright trumpet bursts.
Worshipers will also be invited to enjoy music by Beethoven, and hymn tunes including St. Ann, Winter and Dunfermline from the Scottish Psalter.
The Rt. Rev. Dr. Allan N. Campbell, Bishop of St. Andrew, EBC/USA, will preach the sermon, “My God, I Trust in You,” based on Psalm 25:1-10, and will serve as celebrant for the Liturgy of bread and wine.
Everyone is invited to come to the traditional, liturgical, friendly, biblical services at the church.
CLYMER — A strawberry festival will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the social hall at the Church of the Resurrection, 349 Morris St., Clymer.
A shortcake topped with strawberries and cool whip along with a beverage is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children. There will also be a basket raffle and instant tickets.
The Klassens in concert
CLEARFIELD — Eduard Klassen and his wife, Christine, will be in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Clearfield Alliance Church, 45 Alliance Road, Clearfield. Doors open at 5 p.m.
The Klassens are from Ontario, Canada. Eduard is a Paraguayan folk harpist, and Christine is a pianist.

MARION CENTER — Outdoor movie night will begin at dusk July 20 at Marion Center First United Methodist Church, 204 W. Main St. All are welcome.
Roast pork and holupki dinner
A roast pork and holupki dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 21 at Christ Our Savior Orthodox Church, 6768 Tanoma Road, Rayne Township.
The cost is $11 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12 and free for children 4 and under.
The public is welcome. Takeouts will be available.
The next dinner is scheduled for Aug. 18.
Son Day in the Park
CLYMER — Son Day in the Park events will take place Aug. 3 and 4 at Sherman Street Park, Clymer.
The ninth annual opening program will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 3, featuring contemporary, gospel and bluegrass music.
There will be barbecue pulled pork sandwiches and other food and refreshments served.
Featured performers are Randy Degenkolb and Brad and Lannie Waldrip.
Also taking place will be a Shine Your Light event, where memories will be shared about several people who have passed on who were very supportive of Son Day in the Park in various ways, as well as taking a look at the present and future of this event.
There will be a prayer service for those in need.
The 11th annual Son Day in the Park will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. Aug. 4.
Featured performers are Anthony Frazier, His Word & Worship, Sherri Danae, New Life Community Church, Reach the Masses, Chalice, Eliza Moore, Marissa Bruno’s Music Studio, and finding the lost.
There will be balloon art, face-painting, puppet show, caricatures, a Kiddie Korner with crafts, an obstacle course and a little tyke playpen, and a food court offering hot dogs, meatball sandwiches, hot sausage, nachos, haluski, snow cones, cotton candy, ice cream sandwiches and beverages.
Participating churches include Clymer Christian & Missionary Alliance, Clymer United Methodist, Diamondville United Methodist, Dixonville Wesleyan, Penn Run Wesleyan, Purchase Line Church of the Brethren and Tanoma United Methodist.
All are invited to attend this free event.

Scrapbook and card-making retreat
PENN RUN — A scrapbook and card making retreat will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Church Road, Penn Run.
All paper crafters are welcome. The registration deadline is Oct. 12.

Annual holiday craft show
PENN RUN — Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Church Road, will hold its annual holiday craft show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9.
Registrations are now being accepted from craft and home vendors.
There will be a silent auction from 9 to 11:30 a.m., a pie auction at noon and a homemade soup and bake sale as well as concessions.
