Area churches to hold vacation Bible schools

The following churches have scheduled vacation Bible schools in coming weeks:

• Alverda Faith Tabernacle, Alverda. Children of all ages are invited to attend the camping-themed Bible school, 6 to 8 p.m. July 22 to 26. There will be puppets, crafts, refreshments and prizes. A picnic will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. July 27. Everyone is welcome to attend.

• Black Lick United Methodist Church. “Camp Son” from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 5 to 9 at the Black Lick Fire Hall, Main Street, Black Lick. Lorraine and Larry Henry will present the program. All children in the community are invited to attend.

• Calvary Bible Church, 19032 Route 286, Hillsdale. “God’s Incredible World,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 12 to 16 at the church parsonage. Ages 4 to 13. Special prizes will be given to those who register ahead of time and are in attendance Aug. 12. • Clymer Presbyterian Church, Sixth and Hancock streets, Clymer. From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 29 through Aug. 2.

• Cookport Baptist Church. “Christmas in July,” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. July 22 to 26. The true meaning of Christmas from the Bible. Games, snacks, crafts, singing and more. Ages 3 and up. Everyone welcome. For more information, call Jess at (724) 422-0901.

• Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church, 2534 Dayton-Smicksburg Road. “SonWest Roundup,” Monday through Friday. Children in preschool to grade 6 are invited.
