Indiana County Area Society for Human Resource Management will hold its monthly meeting Friday at St. Andrew’s Village, Bristol Court Dining Room, Indiana, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This month’s guest speaker will be Tony Samento, president, OSHA Compliant, Safety Services & Training of Samento Industrial Training Systems Inc. He will discuss how he assists clients in their objective of establishing and maintaining an uncompromising safety culture that results not only in workplace OSHA compliance, but also in the increased awareness and safety posture of each individual employee.
Since 1996, Samento Industrial Training Systems Inc. has conducted a wide variety of safety programs with 400 companies in 24 states and two countries training in excess of 100,000 employees.

EVERGREEN GARDEN CLUB
The Evergreen Garden Club’s May 20 meeting was the annual spring cleanup and planting at the Silas Clark House. Club members worked in the garden, weeding, planting and mulching the bulb-out and planting the urns while wearing their new bright pink Evergreen Garden Club T-shirts.
The hostesses prepared lunch for all the workers in the garden. A business meeting followed lunch.
The June 17 meeting will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church with refreshments at 12:30 p.m. Larry DeChurch, a master gardener and a recipient of the Welcome to Indiana Image Award, will present the program, “Growing Flowers and Vegetables in Raised Beds,” at 1 p.m. Hostesses will be Shirley Risinger and Louise Barish.
A business meeting will follow the program.
The July 15 meeting will be the annual picnic at Becky Kaskan’s Picnic Pavilion at 11:30 a.m. A meeting will follow lunch and the program.
The public is invited to join the club, which meets every third Monday of the month.
