CLUB NEWS: Elks Ladies Auxiliary
Elks Ladies Auxiliary 931 Indiana held its covered-dish dinner Saturday with President Linda Malin presiding.
The invocation was given by Chaplain Sabina Fiala.
Connie Minick reported on the bar bingo, which will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Barbara Norland announced the Past Presidents Club will be holding a dinner meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Elks Lodge.
The auxiliary voted to give $150 for 10 turkeys to the Turkey Telethon for needy families.
The youth Halloween party will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 20 in the Elks Lodge. Members’ children and grandchildren ages 10 and younger are invited to attend.
Sign up in the grill room by Wednesday.
The Pennsylvania Elks state president and his wife visited the Elks Lodge over homecoming weekend.
Volunteers are needed for the veterans’ breakfast on Nov. 11. Call Malin if interested.
The auxiliary lending library is accepting books. No magazines.
Malin is asking officers to come a half hour before the meeting for rehearsal of new members.
Celebrating birthdays in October were Nancy Maloney, Toni Bellock and Sherry Tedeski.
The windfall winner was Patricia Moorehead and 50/50 winner was Debby Stolitza.
Door prizes were three mums which adorned the buffet table. Winners were Julie Rado, Lavelle Bothel and Debby Stolitza.
Additional prize winners were Annetta Kerzan, Linda Malin and Diane Daskivich.
Next month’s meeting will be held Nov. 7.
Initiation of new members will be held.
