Yard sale :: The Indiana Church of the Brethren will hold a yard sale in the church parking lot, 905 McKnight Road, White Township, until 2 p.m. today.
Royal Fun Faire
CLYMER — Calvary Baptist Church will hold a free Royal Fun Faire and cookout from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church, Route 286, two miles east of Clymer.
The cookout includes hot dogs, popcorn, snow cones and more. There will be games, crafts, face painting, balloons and a bouncy inflatable castle and slide.
Those age 4 through those entering grade 6 in the fall and their families are invited. Register for the upcoming Bible school to be held June 17 to 21 and enter drawing for a special prize.

Giant yard sale
The Lighthouse, Morning Star Ministries, will continue its gigantic yard sale with most prices 50 percent off until 4 p.m. today at the church, located at 4886 Route 240, between Uniontown and Cookport.
The yard sale will have many great items, including clothing, electronics, Christmas decorations, household items and more. There will be a bake sale, and the concession stand will be open with plenty of food.
There is also a large playground on site for the children to enjoy.
All proceeds go to the Mexico missions. The church is sending a team of 10 in October to a boys’ ranch in Monterrey, Mexico, to help with the construction of a medical center. The team will also minister to the poor and needy on the streets with food and medical supplies.
All monetary donations are tax deductible. Checks should be payable to Morning Star Ministries Missions.
JOHNSTOWN — Resurrection Parish, 408 8th St., Johnstown, is holding its first Groovin’ in the Grove summer party featuring Tom Watt, the Buffetman, from 7 to 10 p.m. today at the Resurrection Picnic Grove, 926 Cooper Ave., Tanneryville. Ebenezer festival and bazaar
LEWISVILLE — Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, 5620 Newport Road, Lewisville, is holding its annual strawberry festival and bazaar from 4 to 7 p.m. today. There will be a basket raffle and homemade baked goods, angel food cake, strawberries and ice cream, as well as lamb sandwiches, ham barbecues, hot dogs and hot sausage sandwiches, potato salad and baked beans.
To get to the church, follow the signs off Route 217 at Newport Road out of Blairsville, and off Route 286 by Jacksonville Family Medicine.
Music Sunday/lasagna dinner
Music Sunday and a lasagna dinner will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Crete Presbyterian Church, 25 Brady Road, Indiana.
The choir, under the direction of June Weber, will lead worship. Dr. Cal Weber directs the orchestra ensemble. A lasagna dinner will follow. Donations will go to the Alice Paul House for domestic violence and the Pathway homeless shelter in Black Lick.

Pork and holupki dinner
CLYMER — A pork and holupki dinner will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Michael’s Orthodox Church, 465 Morris St., Clymer. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 through 12. Children 5 and younger eat free. Everyone is welcome and takeout is available.
ERNEST — The Indiana/Cambria County hymn sing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Ernest Bible Church. Come to sing, come to listen. Everyone is welcome.
JOHNSTOWN — Resurrection Parish, 408 8th St., Johnstown, is holding its fourth annual Parish Summer Festival starting at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Resurrection Picnic Grove, 926 Cooper Ave., Tanneryville. The festival starts with 10:30 a.m. outdoor Mass and includes throughout the day: The Conniptions from 1 to 4 p.m., and the Flood City Brass from 5 to 9 p.m.

Ministry team presentation
CLYMER — The Proclaim Ministry Team from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Fla., will present stirring songs and dramatic selections at 6 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church, two miles east of Clymer, Route 286 East. The public is invited, and there is no admission charge.
Gospel singer in concert
Singer-songwriter Joyce Igo will be the special guest at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cornerstone Worship Center, 500 Lenz Road, White Township.
Since 1992 Joyce has been traveling full time as a gospel soloist, speaker and songwriter. Hailing from Hurricane, W.Va., Joyce now goes from Arizona to Maine, and Canada to Florida both singing and preaching the Word of God. Joyce also travels internationally as well having ministered in Israel, Mexico, Ecuador and Italy.

JOHNSTOWN — The second annual convention for Jehovah’s Witnesses will be held June 14-16 and June 28-30 at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena, Johnstown. The program runs from 9:20 a.m. to 4:55 p.m. on the Fridays and Saturdays and 9:20 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. on the Sundays.
