MEETING: The Indiana Herb Study Group has rescheduled its meeting date from Feb. 26 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Red Cross Building on Kolter Avenue, White Township. Cindy Rogers will be presenting the program on elderberries, the International Herb of the Year.
LUNCHEON: The FMC retirees luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Hoss’s Steak and Sea House, White Township. All FMC retirees are welcome. If you have any questions, call Carolyn Short at (724) 479-0366.
MEETING: The Keystone Doll Collectors’ meeting will be held at 1 p.m. March 19 at Eat ’n Park Restaurant, White Township. The program will be on celluloid dolls. Anyone interested in doll collecting is welcome to attend.
DINNER: The Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, will hold Lenten fish, seafood and pierogi dinners with all the trimmings each Friday through March 22. Meals will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. and cost is $10 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for children younger than 6. Takeouts will be available. All are welcome.
MEETING: Evergreen AARP 2581 will hold a lunch at noon March 19 at the VFW. Kristin Lytle, a fitness coordinator at St. Andrew’s Village, will be the speaker. Cost is $5.
FEAST: An Italian feast night will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Shelocta Presbyterian Church. Several pasta selections will be available including chicken alfredo over penne pasta and ravioli with a butter garlic sauce and spaghetti with marinara or beef sauce. There will also be salad, garlic bread sticks, homemade desserts and a beverage. Takeout will be available. Cost of the dinner is $8 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12 and free for children younger than 5. The Presbyterian Men’s Group is sponsoring the event to finance ongoing renovations and local giving.
MEETING: The Elks Ladies Auxiliary will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Elks Lodge. Chairwomen will be Paula Bernett and Michelle Nielsen. It will be perfect attendance month.
