Indoor yard sale
PENN RUN — An indoor yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Church Road, Penn Run.

Bishop Darrell Gooden will be the special guest speaker at 8:30 and 10 a.m. Sunday and 6:30 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday at Cornerstone Worship Center, 500 Lenz Road, White Township.
For 33 years Bishop Gooden has been the senior pastor of Rehoboth Christians Center in Tallapoosa, Ga. He also travels worldwide, providing oversight to local churches. He also serves as president of the International Ministers Forum in Dayton, Ohio.

Gospel singer to perform
BLAIRSVILLE — Multi-award nominated male vocalist Ron Brewer will be singing at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Blairsville Free Methodist Church.

Jacobs Brothers to perform
The Jacobs Brothers, of Dillsburg, will appear at the Independent Traditional Holiness Church at 10:40 a.m. Sunday.
The Jacobs brothers, Bob and Mike, formed the group in 1962. They are veterans of gospel music and are dedicated to the ministry of spreading the gospel through music. The third member, Mike Lawver, joined the group in 1972.

DIXONVILLE — Solid Rock and Music Festival VII, sponsored by the Ambrose Baptist and Dixonville Wesleyan churches, will be held Sunday at the Dixonville Wesleyan Church, 246 Purchase Line Road, Dixonville.
Doors open at 1 p.m. and the music will start at 2 p.m. The festival is free, including the food.
Scheduled to perform are Godcry, Grave Robber, We The Gathered, Third Degree, Chris Bernstorf, Blood of the Martyrs, Burn False Idols, The Rose Hill, Witness and Letters to the Exiles.
Revival services will be held Sunday through Tuesday with the Rev. Jim Ellsmore, a chalk evangelist, at the Montgomery Church of the Brethren, 5227 Purchase Line Road, in Purchase Line.
A morning worship service will be held at 10:45 a.m. Sunday with 7:30 p.m. revival services Sunday through Tuesday.
Ellsmore was born in Glen Campbell and came to know Christ at the age of 26 in his grandfather’s church. He worked as a missionary pastor in Alaska from 1968-79 and has also ministered in Maine, New York and Pennsylvania. Special music is planned for each evening and everyone is invited to attend.

Friday Night Light
PENN RUN — Friday Night Light will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Center Road, Penn Run.
The event will be held outdoors under the pavilion, weather permitting, with a campfire. Bring lawn chairs and campfire snacks. There will be games and activities. The event is sponsored by Harmony Presbyterian Church, Maple Grove Church of God, Penn Run Wesleyan, Kenwood Church of the Nazarene and Penn Run Church of the Brethren. Everyone is welcome to attend.
CLYMER — The Clymer Alliance Church, 690 Franklin St., Clymer, is holding a men’s breakfast at 9 a.m. on June 8 at the church.
Featured speaker for the event is Indiana County Sheriff Robert Fyock, who will be speaking on the topic of responsible gun ownership.

Royal Fun Faire
CLYMER — Calvary Baptist Church will hold a free Royal Fun Faire and cookout from 6 to 8 p.m. June 8 at the church, Route 286, two miles east of Clymer.
The cookout includes hot dogs, popcorn, snow cones and more. There will be games, crafts, face painting, balloons and a bouncy inflatable castle and slide.
Those age 4 through those entering grade 6 in the fall and their families are invited. Register for the upcoming Bible school to be held June 17 to 21 and enter drawing for a special prize.

Ebenezer festival and bazaar
LEWISVILLE — Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, 5620 Newport Road, Lewisville, is holding its annual strawberry festival and bazaar from 4 to 7 p.m. June 8. There will be a basket raffle and homemade baked goods, angel food cake, strawberries and ice cream, as well as lamb sandwiches, ham barbecues, hot dogs and hot sausage sandwiches, potato salad and baked beans.

CLYMER — A pork and holupki dinner will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 9 at St. Michael’s Orthodox Church, 465 Morris St., Clymer. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 through 12. Children 5 and younger eat free. Everyone is welcome and takeout is available.
JOHNSTOWN — Resurrection Parish, 408 8th St., Johnstown, is holding its fourth annual Parish Summer Festival starting at 10:30 a.m. June 9 at the Resurrection Picnic Grove, 926 Cooper Ave., Tanneryville. The festival starts with 10:30 a.m. outdoor Mass and includes throughout the day: The Conniptions from 1 to 4 p.m., and the Flood City Brass from 5 to 9 p.m.

CLYMER — The Proclaim Ministry Team from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Fla., will present stirring songs and dramatic selections at 6 p.m. June 9 at Calvary Baptist Church, two miles east of Clymer, Route 286 East. The public is invited, and there is no admission charge.
NuMINE — New Hope Assembly of God in NuMine will be hosting a pre-Father’s Day community movie night beginning at 6 p.m. June 14. The movie being shown is “Last Ounce of Courage,” a family-oriented and award-winning film.

JOHNSTOWN — The second annual convention for Jehovah’s Witnesses will be held June 7-9, June 14-16 and June 28-30 at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena, Johnstown The program runs from 9:20 a.m. to 4:55 p.m. on the Fridays and Saturdays and 9:20 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. on the Sundays.
