TURKEY DINNER: The Indiana Lions Club will hold a benefit turkey dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Indiana Lions Health Camp, Lions Health Camp Road. Tickets will be available at the door. The cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children under the age of 12. Takeouts will be available.
BENEFIT: A chicken barbecue and trap shoot benefit for Tom Hampton and Vicki Radebach will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Colver Sportsmen’s Club. The chicken barbecue and trap shoot are $10 each. If you’re not up to shooting just join us for dinner. Due to complications from diabetes, Hampton is in need of a kidney transplant. Radebach is finalizing the testing to be his donor. Both will be off work while they heal.

DANCE: The Dynamic Singles will hold their third Friday of the month dance from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday at the Indian Springs Golf and Country Club (VFW), 824 Indian Springs Road, White Township. The DJ for the evening will be Jammin’ Jim.
All singles over the age of 21 are welcome. Bring your friends for an evening of fun and dancing. A snack will be served at 9 p.m.

FAMILY DAY: The Shannock Valley Memorial VFW Post 6555 annual Family Day will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 24. The event is open to members, their children, grandchildren and a guest. Entertainment will be provided by DJ SK Sounds. There will be a photo booth, lunch, games and prizes. Please bring a covered dish.
CORN ROAST: The Shannock Valley Memorial VFW Post 6555 annual corn roast will be held at 3 p.m. Sept. 7. The roast is open to members and a guest. Please bring a covered dish.
IN THE GARDEN: Divinely Designed Women will be hosting its second annual “Summer in the Garden” Aug. 31 at Divine Destiny Church, 207 Old Route 119 South. High tea will be served at 4 p.m. and dinner will be at 5 p.m. Wear your best hat and join in an evening of dinner, ministry and fellowship designed to fan the flame and strengthen your relationship with God. PARTY: The Burrell Township Library will host a back to school party at the library from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 24 for kids of all ages.
There will be movies on the big screen and karaoke on the small screen. Games and computers will also be available. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
