DINNER: The Ford City High School class of 1962 will hold their monthly dinner at 6 p.m. Aug. 27 at King’s Family Restaurant, Hilltop Plaza, Kittanning. The dinner is open to all graduates, classmates, spouses and former members and friends of the class of 1962.
REUNION: The annual Hills Department Store reunion and picnic will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 8 at Getty Heights Park Pavilion, next to Rustic Lodge, Indiana. Guests are reminded to bring a covered dish, a wrapped gift for the auction, one item from the Dollar Store for the giveaway and memories.

TURKEY DINNER: The Indiana Lions Club will hold a benefit turkey dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Indiana Lions Health Camp, Lions Health Camp Road. Tickets will be available at the door.
The cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children under the age of 12. Takeouts will be available.
BENEFIT: A chicken barbecue and trap shoot benefit for Tom Hampton and Vicki Radebach will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Colver Sportsmen’s Club. The chicken barbecue and trap shoot are $10 each. If you’re not up to shooting just join us for dinner. Due to complications from diabetes, Hampton is in need of a kidney transplant. Radebach is finalizing the testing to be his donor. Both will be off work while they heal.

FAMILY DAY: The Shannock Valley Memorial VFW Post 6555 annual Family Day will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 24. The event is open to members, their children, grandchildren and a guest. CORN ROAST: The Shannock Valley Memorial VFW Post 6555 annual corn roast will be held at 3 p.m. Sept. 7. The roast is open to members and a guest. Please bring a covered dish.
PICNIC: The Indiana Garden Club will hold its annual picnic and Julia Pound Scholarship Award ceremony at 6 p.m. Monday at the Eagles Nest pavilion behind S&T Bank Arena, White Township.

MEETING: The Indiana County Fox and Coon Hunters Association will hold its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the clubhouse located on Ramsey Run Road, White Township.
PEACH FESTIVAL: Purchase Line United Methodist Church will hold a peach festival from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 23 at the church, 17107 Route 286 East, Commodore. There will be a variety of peach desserts and drinks. Donations will be accepted.

REUNION: The 35th reunion of the Penns Manor Area High School Class of 1978 will be held at 5 p.m. Aug. 31 at the Indiana VFW, White Township. The reunion begins with a social hour with a buffet-style dinner to follow. Dancing will be held after dinner. The cost is $25 per person. REUNION: The Ambrose School reunion will be held from noon to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at Hoss’s Steak and Sea House, White Township.
FESTIVAL: The annual Blacklick Community United Methodist Church festival will be held at 5 p.m. Aug. 24 in the pavilion at the church, 1453 Bracken Road, Vintondale. There will be chicken, hot sausage, hamburgers, hot dogs, potato/macaroni salad, baked beans, side dishes, desserts and beverages. A choice of one meat, sides, dessert and beverage is $5 for adults and $2.50 for those 12 and younger. REUNION: A reunion of the William and Annie Peddicord Campbell family will be held Saturday at the Pine Ridge Park Pavilion 2, near Blairsville. A covered-dish dinner will begin at noon. There will be access to a playground and games for the children, an adult-only auction, and prizes for those traveling the farthest and the youngest male and female babies. Bring a lawn chair and instruments. The park is off Route 22 at the bottom of Penn View on Old Farm Road.
