Football camp set at Homer-Center

HOMER CITY — The Homer-Center football staff and players will conduct a youth camp for players ages 8 to 12 from 10 a.m. to noon Monday through Wednesday of next week at the high school track complex.

Duriez, Tate win junior events

GREENSBURG — Hunter Duriez, of Northern Cambria, and Roman Tate, of Clymer, each earned a first-place finishes in their respective age divisions in the North East Junior Golf Tour’s event at Mount Odin Golf Course on Thursday.

Duriez carded an 80 and won the Pine Valley Division for boys ages 13 to 15.

Tate posted an 86 and won the Pine Valley Division for boys’ 16 to 18.

Hoodlebug race set July 14

HOMER CITY — The Hoodlebug 5K Run and Fun Walk will be held Sunday, July 14, in Homer City.

Race-day registration opens at 4:30 p.m. at Floodway Park on Main Street, and the race being at 6 p.m.

The course is on city streets in Homer City and Center Township, and part of the last mile is on the Hoodlebug Trail.

The Hoodlebug 5K is conducted by Indiana Road Runners Club in conjunction with the Homer City Business Association’s annual festival.

Roman camp set at Penns Manor

KENWOOD — The Dave Roman Basketball camp will be held at Penns Manor Elementary School on June 24 to 28. The camp is open to boys and girls entering grades 4 to 12 in the fall.

IUP slates basketball camps

The IUP men’s basketball program will hold summer camps on June 24 to 27 and July 22 to 25.

The camps are for players ages 7 to 17.
