Crooked Creek center to hold free events in June
The Crooked Creek Environmental Learning Center will host two free events at its facility about five miles south of Ford City, next to Crooked Creek Park.
The Armstrong County Geocachers will hold their sixth annual geocaching event starting at noon on Saturday, June 21.
After registration at 11 a.m., there will be games and prizes. Bring a GPS, a covered dish, a lawn chair and blankets. Drinks, plates, plasticware and snacks will be provided.
Log on to www.geocach ing.com to note the number of people in your party to help with planning.
On Sunday, June 22, the Audubon Society will present the Lost Ladybug Project, a citizen science and conservation program, from 2 to 4 p.m. Native ladybugs are disappearing as non-native bugs increase. This program will help attendees identify and report ladybugs findings. Register for the program online at www.aswp.org.
