FORD CITY — The Armstrong School District will conduct the General Educational Development 2002 Test from 6 to 10 p.m. Aug. 12 and 13 in the Ford City Junior-Senior High School library. The registration deadline is Aug. 8. The test is $50 and is payable in cash or by money order.

To be eligible for the GED test, an applicant must be a Pennsylvania resident, be at least 18 years old and not be enrolled in school.

Applicants between 16 and 18 years old may take the test if they present a written request at the time of registration from either an employer who requires the GED diploma for employment, a school that requires the GED diploma for admission or an armed forces recruiting officer.

Anyone wishing to take the test must make payment and complete a registration form at the Armstrong School District’s administration building, 410 Main St., Ford City, by the registration deadline.

At the time of testing, the applicant must present some form of photo identification, such as a photo driver’s license.
